The music of BEAR BONES is fairly broad, ranging from traditional British and American Folk songs, Ballads, Celtic jigs and reels, to Americana, Old Timey, Country Blues plus material from contemporary singer songwriters in the folk tradition. Consequently they are able to choose a set to suit most venues and occasions, whether it's classic up tempo songs for bars or more reflective material for clubs.

BEAR BONES also collaborates with poets, storytellers, choreographers, dance and theatre groups to write and arrange songs and music for special events and productions. In the past, they have also played for Ceilidhs and Barn Dances as THE BEAR BAND.

Over the years they have played with many other musicians, calling on them to join or collaborate with them as and when the occasion requires.


Showcases the breadth of their music and demonstrates their interest in a wide range of root-based songs and music.
There are some classic traditional songs along with self-penned songs and instrumentals.
